~ The 2011 DSJ Marching Band went off to a great start with standout performances at the Allen County and Van Wert County Fair band shows. This year's percussion feature requires our percussionists to have a lot of coordination! It's a definite crowd-pleaser.
~ The season began with some great music and featured trumpet soloists Chelsea Wellmann, Katie Honigford, and Jessica Recker; Baritone soloist Calvin Vonderwell, and the entire Saxophone section (Julia Dickman, Grace Mitchener, Nathan Pohlman, Shannon Bockey, Laura Klausing, and Kim Hoffman).
Pep band will begin in December after football has ended. Sign-ups will take place in late October. Stay tuned!

Mark your calendars - Solo and Ensemble contest will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012. We have some fantastic musicians in the junior high band so this should be an excellent competition!
