Hopefully everyone was able to check the website on Sunday to see that due to the nasty weather we were forced to postpose our annual Christmas concert. The new concert date is Wednesday, December 19 at 7:00pm. Hope to see you all there!

Newly added to the calendar are our plant/flower sale dates. The sale kickoff will be Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, and orders will be due 4 weeks later on Wednesday, March 26, 2008. Plant and flower orders will arrive on Wednesday, May 7th, to be picked up at the K of C hall between 3-6:00pm. This is one of our biggest fundraisers. They have a new and exciting plant and flower borchure with lots of new items to choose from.

The fruit has arrived and orders were aqll picked up. It looked like a good crop this year. We have extra fruit - all types - for sale, so if you or anyone you know is interested in buying some more fruit, let Ms. Hare know! It was a good sale this year, thanks to everyone who made the effort to go out and sell.

Upcoming is our annual Band Christmas Concert on Sunday, December 16th at 7:00pm in the gym. Everyone should report to the band room by 6:30pm (please don’t be late!). Dress UP - no jeans/sweats. Guys must wear a tie. Thanks for your cooperation!

Football season has ended and we are well into basketball season…um…I mean pep band season! We have an awesome group this year. Check out the new locker sign on the pep band page of this website.

The high school band members are busy preparing for district Solo and Ensemble competition, to be held on Saturday, February 16th, 2008 at St. Marys. Junior High members will begin picking out their music after Christmas. Their district competition is on Saturday, April 12, 2008. Mark your calendars!

Newly purchased by the Band Boosters are two Dell laptop computers for our Music Theory class. Students in thic class learn the building blocks of music composition, and finish the semester writing their own arrangement for our high school concert band. Music writing has come a long way since the day we all wrote all the parts out by hand! Computer programs enable the students to input the notes, and to play bakc their compositions to hear what they sound like before ever handing the music to the band. What a neat concept!
