High School Music Theory Class


Music Theory is a year-long course available to high school music students. Music Theory class is held during 6th period. Students learn the building blocks of music composing and arranging, chord analysis, intervals and ear-training, and eventually compose/arrange a full concert band piece for Christmas. Students spend the second half of the year studying music history throughout the time periods.

Class size is limited. Class requirements are a flash drive (any size), headphones or ear buds (like the ones used with an Ipod), 3-ring binder, and page protectors.
